Welcome to my corner of the world. The place I plan to bare my soul and all that I am.
How did I get here? I ate and ate and ate and laid on the couch a whole lot. I also had a baby, but, I was fat before I got pregnant so I cannot blame this on her. I am hoping to keep myself in check and find a place to get all these feelings about this crazy journey I am on out. I am heading down the homestretch towards 30 but I have a few things to do before I get there!
I was always a bigger girl growing up, but not fat, just bigger. I entered my early 20's tall and slender. I felt beautiful. I met my husband and we loved to eat and drink together. We watched movies and the days of hitting the dance floor with my girlfriends seemed to fade away. We bought our first house and became engaged and with all of this celebrating I began packing on the pounds. The day we found out we were pregnant we went to the doctor to confirm the pregnancy and I hopped on the scale. The number that popped up couldn’t be true, 209lbs. I was sad I had let myself come this far but I tried through my pregnancy to keep my weight down. When I went into labor I weighed in at 228lbs. I lost a lot of weight after Lily came. I was down to 198lbs last spring and slowly I started packing the pounds on again. I was too busy being a mom and enjoying my sweet baby and all the baby cuddles. Finally in December I couldn’t take it anymore and I started a Biggest Loser Contest with my sister in laws and neighbors that was to start January 6th. I finished off the rest of the Christmas cookies and just hoped that I could hang on to the resolution I had set out for myself. TO GET HEALTHY!

January 6th came and everyone came to my house to weigh in. I weighed in at 227lbs. A little shy of my 9 month pregnant weight. How embarrassing. I started using My Fitness Pal and throughout that month and the beginning of February I managed to get myself down to 205lbs and won the contest! I celebrated with food and fell right off the wagon. So I found another biggest loser contest and entered myself. I also signed up for Dietbet. I started the contest at 213lbs.
We are a week and half into a 6 week contest. Last Friday when I weighed in I was down to 207. Although I went up a little over the weekend. I am working on mini goals with a large goal in the back of my mind but the mini goals are easier to achieve. My first mini goal is to get myself the hell out of the 200's and never look back. My second mini goal is to get down to 190lbs. And my huge goal you ask is to get down to around 165-170lbs. All of this I hope to obtain before I hit the dirty 30 in August. Thank you for reading this far and I look forward to working hard and getting fit before 30!
